Walteze Champ College offers came from Texas Southern University, Central Georgia Tech, Texas College, and Livingston University among a few others.

Champ is an academically gifted student who graduated with flying colors from Homer High School located in tiny Homer, Louisiana. His GPA stands at 3.5.

At Homer High School, the class of 2023 played as the senior guard and defensive end. His jersey number was 59 as a high schooler.

The prime reason Walteze has become a trending topic on the internet is because of his size.

Considering that the Louisiana high school senior lineman is just a teenager, it is not easy for people his age to get such a physique.

On social media, Champ has gained the nickname Beast and Monster due to his unparalleled physical build. Many people also recognize him as the most freakish high school player of all time.

Since Walteze’s body measurement resembles that of players in the league already, people are speculating that he might get drafted into National Football League in the future.

Homer High School Walteze Champ committed to Texas Southern football team on 2 February 2023. TSU welcomed Walteze to Tigerland through its official Twitter.

On September 23, Champ got the D1 offer from Texas Southern University. He was elated and shared his happiness noting that he was blessed and forever humbled to receive that offer.

After signing the deal with TSU, he went to one of their events and shared several photographs from that day. Champ looked fine in the Texas Southern Tigers T-shirt and cap.

Walteze had captioned, “WELCOME TO HOUSTON CHAMP” along with a red heart and fire emoji. His enthusiasm to join the team, and perform as Tiger is quite visible.

Before that, on 22 January, Champ had posted a series of pictures with Texas Southern football staff and cheerleaders. He had donned the Tigers uniform with the jersey number 59.

Walteze Champ College falls under the category of HBCU in Houston, Texas. Around 60 graduates from Texas Southern University have played in the NFL.

Recruiting

Walteze Champ recruiting was officially announced in February. On 7 January Champ took to Twitter to declare he was searching for a place to call home.

Since his viral moment on social media, everybody were looking forward to his recruitment. But Texas Southern University got him.

Before trending on the internet, Walteze was not receiving many offers, but things took a U-turn after that.

Even Deion Sanders, the Colorado coach commented ‘I ain’t hard to find’ on 6 January under the post related to Champ. This shows his popularity.

Seeing Camp’s physical build, strength, and abilities, any coach would be eager to hire him.

Homer High School football player Walteze Champ made 101 tackles, 10 sacks, and 3 defensive touchdowns in his senior year. Walteze has 15 career sacks.

Last season, the two-way starter was chosen as the defensive player of the year. He recorded three forced fumbles.

The 2022 high school football season started in July. Walteze was listed in the MaxPreps Small Town All-America Football Team released on 13 January 2023.

Louisiana Sports Writers Association bestowed him with the title of Class 1A defensive player of the year.

Not only that, the Homer Louisiana football player gained 1-1A All-District First Team honors. During his senior season at Homer, he was selected as the Defensive MVP of the state of Louisiana.

In 2021, Walteze led his team to become State Champion.  He has been a complete beast on the football field since his early teenage days.

Walteze Champ age is 18 years old according to a TikTok video posted on 9 January this year. Champ became a hot topic on the internet at the age of 17.

When this happened people could not believe that Champ was just a senior at high school. 

MaxPreps uploaded an image of Champ in September 2022 mentioning his age.  One user jokingly commented that Walteze was 17, 17 years ago.

Since that comment received more than 350 likes, it implies that many people agree. Similarly, some asked to see his birth certificate.

PFF College tweeted that kids are built differently these days sharing his picture. Not only once, but multiple times, Champ’s insane build with speed and strength has caught people’s attention.

He weighs 230 pounds and stands 6 feet tall. At this age, Walteze’s bench press is 405, and his squat (LBS) is 545. He can do a deadlift of 606 pounds.
