Report: Trinity (Naomi) Expected To Return To WWE

August 2024 · 2 minute read

Trinity, formerly known as Naomi, is expected to return to WWE, according to a new report.

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful (via Fightful Select) cites sources in TNA/IMPACT Wrestling who indicated that Trinity is expected to be a free agent soon. These sources noted that the reigning Knockouts World Champion is expected to finish up with the company soon. There is no word on whether she will be at the upcoming TNA Hard To Kill pay-per-view. There, she is set to defend the title against Jordynne Grace.

Sapp also writes that as early as January 2023, WWE sources expressed their confidence that they could get Trinity back. The report notes that WWE sources stated that they expected Trinity to return to the company. TNA/IMPACT sources also said they expected this outcome.

Per Sapp, one WWE source said that something “huge” would have to happen for Trinity’s return not to happen eventually. However, this source noted that free agency in the wrestling world is “crazy” right now.

Free Agency Heats Up

This report comes after Sapp recently wrote that conversations between Mercedes Moné and WWE broke down, and the former Sasha Banks is in talks with AEW. Additionally, Kamille and Deonna Purrazzo are also on the open market.

WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes available.
